Creating A Recode Spreadsheet

mTAB for Windows provides the ability to export recod map information to a spreadsheet file. The spreadsheet file will contain a list of the New Labels created and a list of Original (Old) Labels with codes indicating their associated mapping.

To Create A Recode Worksheet

1. Choose one of the following:
   • From the file menu, choose Create Spreadsheet.

   • Click the icon on the toolbar.

The Export Recode Mapping dialog box will appear.

2. Choose a spreadsheet file type. There are three choices:
   .XLS = Microsoft Excel
   .WK1 = Lotus 123
   .WKR = Symphony

3. Provide filename (up to 255 characters) for the export file.
