Edit Stat Values

When you create a recode, it is necessary to define the upper and lower value limits of a recode definition, if applicable. For example, you may be creating a recode based upon an Age question, broken down in five year age breaks. For example, the upper and lower limits of the response label “25-29 Years Old” would be 29 and 25 respectively.

To Edit Recode Stat Values

1. Choose one of the following:
   • From the Edit menu, choose Edit Stat Values.

   • Click the icon on the toolbar.

The Edit Stat Values dialog box will appear.

Clear Weights

The Clear Weights button will remove all stat weight definitions.

Parse Weights

The Parse Weights button will attempt to determine the upper and lower weight values by stripping out numeric information from the Recode Description column.
