Study Weight Configuration Dialog (Advanced)
To Change Weights Used In Tab
- Choose one of the following:
- From the Run Tab menu, choose Study Weights.
- Press CTRL+W.
- Modify the options described below.
- Choose RUN TAB to immediately re-run the tab with the new weight selection, or
OK to continue. Important Note: If you so select OK and switch to the spreadsheet view, the data will not
reflect the weight selection until the tab has re-run. Therefore, it is
recommended that RUN TAB be selected to avoid a possible mis-interpretation of data.
- Run the tab to implement the weight changes.
When a mTAB database is created, a weight is assigned to every question in the
database. Most often, the default weight for a study is assigned to every
question. But occassionally, an individual question or questions may have a
weight assigned that is different from the default. If you are using questions in a
tab which have different weights assigned, the Study Weight Configuration
dialog provides the means to choose which weight to use.
Use Assigned Weight
The Use Assigned Weight option tells mTAB to use the default weight assigned
to questions. This option is used in conjunction with the Precedence options,
Row Stub and Column Banner.
Row Stub Precedence
When Row Stub precedence is chosen, mTAB will use the weights assigned to
those questions selected on the Row Stub.
Column Banner Precedence
When Column Banner precedence is chosen, mTAB will use the weights assigned to
those questions selected on the Column Banner.
Use Selected Weight
This option tells mTAB to use a user selected weight. If multiple studies
have been selected, the user can select a weight from any selected study.
Study List Box
If multiple studies have been selected, use this list box to choose the study
from which you wish to choose a weight.
Select Weights
Use this drop down box to select the weight you wish to use. This box will
display a list of all available weights for the study selected under the Study
list box.
NOTE: The tab should be re-run after selecting an alternative weight!
