Subsetting a Single Response

To Select a Response

1. Highlight the response you wish to select and choose one of the following:
   • Double-Click on the response to be selected.

   • Click the icon on the toolbar.

   • Click the right mouse button. From the right mouse menu, choose Select.

   • Press INSERT.

   • Press ENTER.

   • Press PLUS (+) key.

A ‘plus’ sign will appear in the check box located to the left of the question response.

To Subtract a Response

1. Highlight the response you wish to subtract and choose one of the following:
   • Click the right mouse button. From the right mouse menu, choose Subtract.

   • Press BACKSPACE.

   • Press MINUS (-) key.

A ‘minus’ sign will appear in the check box located to the left of the question response.

To Unselect a Subsetted / Subtracted Response

1. Highlight the response you wish to unselect and choose one of the following:
   • Double-Click on the response to be unselected.

   • Click the right mouse button. From the right mouse menu, choose Unselect.

   • Press Delete.

   • Press SPACE bar.

If the highlighted response had been subset or subtracted, the ‘plus’ or ‘minus’ symbol will be removed from the check box to the left of the question response.
